Foamy Bells like 'Sweet Tea' are a result of a cross between Heuchera and Tiarella forming a plant that is uniquely situated between both genus offering great shade tolerance, easy maintenance, foliage color and long bloom. 'Sweet Tea' may be the most colorful of the bunch with big cinnamon colored stars surrounded by a wide, bright orange band that forms its big, unmistakable star shaped leaves. The foliage is an instant WOW in the shade garden with that riveting color, overshadowing a nice show of white bloom held aloft on thin stalks in April and May. 'Sweet Tea' like all Heucherella is a landscape performer that tolerates shade, drought and use in containers while still carrying on with that amazing color!
Thrives in partial shade and well-drained soil. Feed yearly with an organic fertilizer. Once bloom passes, remove spent flower stalks. Cut back dead foliage near ground level in late winter before flush.
