Finally, a breakthrough in Delphinium breeding that clearly stands above the rest! 'Guardian Blue' bursts into bloom with extreme uniformity and weeks ahead of other open pollinated Delphiniums. Don't be fooled by the dainty appearance of the stems since these thinner, yet stronger stems tolerate handling and tougher garden conditions with much less stem breakage and support than other Delphiniums. 'Guardian Blue' will fill your garden with stately spires of double, deep blue blooms from late May through early July. They'll look great towards the rear of the perennial garden and will be excellent cut flowers for your home. This breakthrough plant performs best when provided full to partial sun and moist, well -drained soil.
