This classic garden perennial will bring the sky to your garden with its true blue flowers. Spikes of lavender and blue on a mound of scalloped foliage will emerge in the early summer. Remove spend flowers to yield another round of blooms in the late summer and fall. Its large leaves make this plant attractive even when it's flowers are not in season. Large flowers attract butterflies and hummingbirds!
Prefers full sun and moist, cool, well-drained soil. Feed yearly with an organic fertilizer. Prune back spent flower spikes after bloom is finished. Cut back after a hard freeze in late fall
