Winner of Rhododendron of the year, this shade loving shrub is nice and compact that will add a lot charm to the garden. From April through May, yellow funnel-shaped flowers with orange throats form in clusters all over the plant. Pollinators are attracted to the flowers that are strongly fragranced.
Thrives in partial shade. Likes enriched, well-drained acidic soil and mulch to keep the roots cool. Protect from winter winds. Prune immediately after flowering in late spring by cutting branches to just above a set of leaves.
