Vigorous, upright growing deciduous shrub with dark, bluish-green foliage and loads of 6-12" long, very fragrant purple flower spikes in early May. One of the most fragrant shrubs for any landscape, it's perfect for grouping in larger shrub border areas. Easy to grow & very hardy. The fragrant flower is perfect for cutting.

Prune immediately after bloom in late spring to reduce size. To maintain vigor, thin old stems in the winter.
