Redmond is a big and bold, stately tree with pyramidal form. Supports bees and other pollinators with its spicy-scented, pale yellow flowers that emerge in the early summer. Dense green foliage provides shelter and seeds for birds. Voted Urban Tree of the Year, Redmond makes a lovely, formal, shade tree that is great for street planting.
Grow in full sun to part shade in average to moist, but well-drained soil. Prune while young to achieve desired shape, but mature trees do not tolerate pruning well.
