Beautiful evergreen shrub with shiny, dark green leaves. Aromatic foliage and fragrant flowers. Can do so in light shade. Pollen source for female plants, needed to produce bright red berries on female plants.

Plant in well-drained acidic soil. Apply acidic based plant food in late winter. Morning sun is best. Little pruning required, but pruning spent blooms (on male) will encourage new flowers.
