Looking for a tough, low-maintenance border plant that attracts wildlife? Try Flowering Raspberry! This vigorous grower thrives in challenging spots, providing abundant blooms and fruit. Its sweeping long canes feature deep green, star-shaped foliage, and fragrant 2" purple flowers from late June to August, drawing in native insects, butterflies, and hummingbirds. As the flowers fade, deep purple, thimble-shaped berries emerge, enjoyed by birds, critters, and humans alike. While it needs space to spread, it offers excellent shelter for birds and tolerates infertile, sandy soils in sun or partial shade.
