Plants become tolerant to dryer conditions once established but will need thorough watering when first planted and regular watering till established. Feed with a controlled-released rose fertilizer in early spring and again in later summer. Prune back to 10 inches off the ground in late winter or early spring to produce maximum flowers in late spring and summer.
