A standout among apricots, ‘Goldrich’ dazzles with large, bright orange fruit that’s nearly blush-free and covered in smooth, waxy skin with minimal fuzz. Each symmetrical fruit has a freestone pit and ripens earlier than many other apricots, helping to stretch your harvest into mid-summer. Fragrant white blooms appear in early April, making this variety better suited to areas with fewer spring temperature swings.
Plant in full sun in well-drained soil. Thin fruits when they’re the size of grapes, leaving 4–6 inches between each one to promote size, sweetness, and tree health. Protect blooms from late frosts where possible. Requires cross-pollination.
