A member of the mint family, Perovskia has a strong and pleasing fragrance when foliage is bruised or crushed. 12" spires of bright lavender-blue flowers rise above the silver foliage, a potential height and width of 4'. 1995 Perennial Plant Association Plant of the Year.
Prefers average soil, good drainage and full sun. Cut back to 8 inches in spring. Water regularly until established; drought tolerant thereafter.
