A standout Itoh peony with bold, crimson-red, lightly fragrant single blooms that stretch up to 9" across, accented by golden-yellow anthers and red-tipped carpels. Its lush, dark green foliage stays attractive all season, while sturdy 30" stems hold up the blooms without staking. A rare and regal presence in the garden.

Easily grown in fertile, medium moisture, well-drained soils. Performs best in full sun to partial shade. Before planting, add compost to soil. Remove past blooms. Cut foliage to the ground in fall. Plants are long-lived, but do not need to be divided and can be left undisturbed for years. Fertilize once a year.
