This showy dwarf is certain to bring 'oohs' and 'aahs' from everyone who beholds it. It will be hard to resist this short, dense, sturdy plant that emerges to form a mound filled with blue-green palmate foliage that tops itself with tight, pyramidal towers of big buds that open in mid-June stretching nearly 12" above the foliage. The flowers are a simply stunning mixture of deep rose and white and they last well into July for your viewing pleasure and the pleasure of your local butterflies and hummingbirds who will be happy to while away the days at its nectar banquet. 'Gallery Red' is mildew resistant and deer and rabbit resistant making it a joy to grow as long as you are providing it with plenty of sun and an area with deep, rich, moist, well-drained soil in any formal or naturalized landscape situation.

Lupines thrive in full sun or light shade in rich, slightly acidic soil with good drainage. Apply mulch around the plant to keep the roots cool and for protection during the winter months. Remove faded flowers to encourage rebloom.
