Starting off in spring as a lush green mound of strawberry like foliage, this lively perennial shoots up extra large, mango-orange single flowers that rise up to 30", floating far above its foliage. The flower size is impressive but the length of bloom this easy care perennial exhibits in the garden is even more impressive. 'Totally Tangerine' blooms up to twice as long as other Geum due to its sterile flowers that allow energy normally focused on seed production to focus on more bloom! The great color combination of the deep green foliage and mango-orange flowers creates quite a display in the sunny or partially shaded garden beginning in late May and that show will come back for a brief encore once weather cools again in the fall. 'Totally Tangerine' has few diseases or insect problems and will be one of the easiest to grow plants you've ever admired in your garden!
Thrives in any full to partly sunny location with well-drained soil. Adapts well to both hot summers and cold winters. Remove faded flowers for continuous bloom. Divide plants every 2-3 years.
