You'll have trouble deciding which you like best on this colorful plant: its massive bloom or one-of-a-kind foliage that is riveting in the garden. The foliage is the first think you'll notice as it emerges in the spring an olive green color edged in a pinkish-red shade that changes to creamy white as the weather warms. The colorful foliage forms a tight, rounded mound that serves as the backdrop for a coating of branch tip buds in late May. Bright yellow, 1.5" diameter daisy-like flowers start blooming in early June and feature a deep red eye. 'Tequila Sunrise' will bloom strongly through mid-July and sporadically the rest of the summer while its colorful foliage is still a remarkable presence in the garden that gets even more noticeable as the weather cools and the cream leaf margins turn a striking mahogony color. 'Tequila Sunrise' is easy to grow asking little except full sun and well drained soil. Plant it singly, in groups or plant it in a container with other perennials or annuals and enjoy the show!
