This unique slow growing cultivar has a compact habit with dark green foliage arranged in appealing narrow fern-like sprays . 'Filicoides Compacta' is a pyramidal evergreen with graceful, arching limbs, and the tapering branches create a unique texture and make for an excellent garden specimen or a striking container plant.
Grows best in full sun but tolerates light shade. It adapts to a variety of well drained soils. Once established it is very drought tolerant. Prune if desired to keep its compact shape or to remove dead, broken or poorly formed branches.
