This vigorous growing native shrub thrives in moist areas and provides great cover for native critters while serving as a larval host for some native butterflies. Deep green foliage on dark, almost warty stems with yellowish fall foliage. Easy to grow. Thrives in moist soils and tolerates growing along streams and low areas well. Perfect for massing to form a border planting or naturalized wind break.
