Low growing, thick gray-green leaves emerge in spring in pairs. From the center of each pair comes a short stalk with a large bud that opens in summer to reveal a large muted pink sphere of star-shaped flowers. Deer resistant!
Thrives in full sun. Thrives in moist but well-drained soil. Prune off spent bloom stalk once flowers pass. Clean up dead foliage after a hard freeze. Plants may slowly naturalize but are not considered invasive.
