More About SebbyI was born and raised in central Connecticut and have been a member of the Prides Corner Farms’ team since graduating college in 1990. I am married with 3 boys, two of which are working here at the farm. I grew up in horticulture working tobacco, orchards, vegetable fields, bedding plants and helping a couple local landscapers. In my spare time, I work in my large vegetable garden and small personal orchard growing everything from tomatoes, peppers, garlic, onions, artichokes and eggplant to apples, peaches, pears, blueberries and raspberries. My family gets together seasonally to roast and pickle peppers, make tons of tomato sauce and paste along with other canning and winter storage that we do. I’ve work with youth in our local community coaching a few different sports.

Sebby's Favorite PlantAcer griseum (Paperbark Maple) my favorite plant because it gives us multi-year interest. In the spring and summer, it's an elegant, well structured, small shade tree that gives us orangey, pink and red tone foliage in the fall. When the leaves fall here in Connecticut, the plant gets even showier with its eloquent, cinnamon-colored bark that flakes off like a Paperbark birch.
